Radiator Drain on48 Cub????????

Okay, so far many things that are written in my owners manual for my Cub are wrong. Timing marks in different that published locations, ect. NOW my delima is how do you drain the radiator. Manual says and shows a photo of the front left side. IT AIN'T there. I've looked everywhere. What am I missing?

the drain is right in the middle of bottom cast that the radiator sits on. If you look in at the front of the tractor it is right in line with the hand crank hole.

I saw what looked like a left over casting post but it is located below the hole for the crank handle. Is that it? How would water drain out of that?

thats it, the bottom of the casting is the bottom of the radiator. Just take that plug out to drain.

sounds like its corroded off... the crank hole is cast through the bottom of the radiator. The drain plug is on the bottom, directly below it. Aftermarket front ends have it in the same place, and I suspect there are very few makers of those, so its unlikely you have a "hybrid" without a drain plug.

That "leftover casting post" is supposed to have a common pipe plug protruding from it.

A previous owner apparently failed to remove it, and ground it off flush. To remove it you'd now need to drill it out.

The coolant can be drained by removing the lower radiator hose and flange off the right side of the engine. Just have a big bucket ready to catch it.
