When hooking up the wires on your gnerator, is there a correct post for each wire? How do you know which one goes where? There are two wires.

Two of the terminals on the regulator are labeled "GEN" (or "ARM") and "FLD" (or "F").

The two terminals on the generator are labeled "A"/"ARM" and "F"/"FLD"./

Guess WHAT... "GEN"/"ARM"/"A" get connected together and "FLD"/"F" get connected together.

To add a tidbit to Bobs good advice, in the event the Gennys terminals arent clearly labeled (often stamped in), on many the ARM post is larger then the FLD post. If thats not so and theres no labeling, post back for an ohmmeter method to determine which is which.
