My neighbor is selling his 1953 M. Tractor has the wide front, 9spd M & W, power steering. Good runner, never repainted & paint is thin/faded w/ small areas of surface rust (very straight/clean metal). Tires are old & dry cracked, but all hold air fine. Tractor currently being used to round-bale. Good power, steers on a dime for a big tractor. He wants $2,500. I"m in Maine, this seems to be a fair price, what do you folks think?

That's about what I paid for my MTA. So you're in the ballpark. Maybe a bit high depending on just how bad the tires are. I just bought 4 new ones for my tractor to the tune of $1500. So all of a sudden that $2500 tractor just cost me $4000. I'd still make the same deal.
Just something to keep in mind.

They're great tractors.

Ben

You didn't say anything about hydraulics, if operating a round baler does it have live hydraulics and valving? If its realy a 53 model it would be a super M.
