Spring Plowing pictures

FINALLY got things goin with my SMTA, and newly aquired JD rollover plow. Took some fine tuning, but got er plowing 8-10" deep, in 2nd gear TA ahead most of the time, pull it back for the tough spots. Would likely do it in 3rd, but that would cut down on to my seat time!

Beautiful chore to be doing on a fine spring day!

Some nice looking gear in some great countryside. The poor old tractor almost looks small in front of that plough! Sam

Looks like great plowing conditions, hardly gets the tires dirty! You must be quite the mathematician with that gear = tractor seat time ratio - I like that new math of yours. Nice lookin' rig, thanks for sharing that snow scene also.

It's about all the more plow I'd wanna pull with er. I think that perticular spot is easy plowing. Everyone around here asked me "have you got enough tractor to pull that plow?" I guess I do! All the big boys here in the valley are pulling 5-18's with 180 hp tractors, Not sure why since my 50 hp Farmall is pulling 3-16's just fine;-)
