C or super C

I got a tractor with a woods belly mower on it last fall. Trying to to get it ready to mow this spring I found it had a bad head gasket. So looking for a gasket set there are two different kinds.So to make short story long I assumed the tractor was a "C" but looking at the S/N's it might be a super C. So what tractor do I have and what engine is it. Tractor s/n 151428 engine s/n 153844 the block has a casting no.354898r1 and 5 29 x. Thanks Dale

You have a Super C with a C-123 engine.

And also with that tractor serial number.

AS far as I know the gasket set is the same except the head gasket which has smaller holes for an engine with a water pump which your super C should have.

CaseIH will have the correct gasket. If you want an aftermarket, be sure to get one that says "with water pump", that one will have the smaller holes.

serial# says its a SC The C didnt have 6 digits

Thanks for all the info. I called Case IH and they'll have the gaskets on the way next week. Dale
