I prefer Autolite Spark plugs. What is the correct part number for Autolites for my 48 Cub? Also what is the correct cable size for the battery cables?

...just curious, where did you get your manual? This site has plenty of operators manuals for various attachments etc but I haven't yet found the definitive Cub Owners how-to book

I googled a search for "Farmall Cub Owners Manual" and got several hits. I looked until I found what I was looking for and was able to print the entire manual off for free. Sorry, can't remember the exact one. The site I went to had copies of original manuals for all kinds of attachments, wiring diagrams, ect.

If your Cub is still 6 volts you should have 00 battery cables. They're easily made from used welding cable and soldered spades. Hal

Link works fine for me now. Maybe it was edited?

Autolite 3116 is the "cool" plug (Champion D15Y).
Autolite 3116 is the "midrange" plug (Champion D18Y)
Autolite 386 is the "hot" plug (Champion D21)

This info is direct off the Autolite website and their own cross-reference.
