water in oil c

Well I have water in my oil on a "C". So I pressure tested the cooling system and didn't find any leaks around the seals on the cylinder liners. So I pulled the head and it looks like it's a leaking head gasket. It's leaking from a water hole into where the push rods go through the block. The question is do I replace the cylinder seals or just replace the head gasket? Is it hard to replace the seals. Thanks Dale.

Well that all depends on how much work you want to do.
I would just do the head gasket.
I would also take the head to a machine shop and have them check it for being true and not warped.

Jeff Z is correct.
If it is an engine that is running well and not using oil, I would repair the head gasket and be on the job.
I use copper coat spray on both sides. A hang it on a wire and spray until covered, not dripping off.
Then wait until it is tackey (five minutes or so) and assemble. Retorque when it has been operated to temperature once, then set valves again. Jim
