Part compatibility

Does anyone know if a lower water neck from a Farmall C will fit on a B? They look the same from the pic, but the part numbers don't match. I'm wondering if the castings aren't the same but differences in the drain pipe connections aren't the reason for the differing part numbers.

I think they should be the same, except that there were 2 versions for both tractors. One was drilled and tapped for a heat indicator, the other wasn't.

If you have the hole and don't need it, plug it with a pipe plug. If you don't have the hole and do need it, it can be drilled and tapped (pipe tap).
