Degrease an old H

What is the best way to degrease the engine on a 1939 Farmall H. I am concerned about destroying old gaskets that ARE NOT leaking. Thanks.

I degrease with oven cleaner. don't know about the gaskets though

Super clean in purple jug works good but follow directions! Rinse good with soapy water. I power wash afer and it does come clean. Oldiron29

When I was a kid, Dad always used Gumout Foamy Engine Bright to degrease. Spray it on, let it foam up, rinse with an ordinary garden hose. Always seemed to work well as I recall.
