Super C Fasthitch plow depth control

I am setting up and using a C20 fasthitch plow. I have been researching the archives and their is reference to a depth control that goes on the right side of the tractor. Does anybody have a picture of this or where to go the see one?

Dean, you should have a round tube (about 2" in dia.) coming up the right side from the front of the fast hitch and hooked onto the torque tube, be carefull when you pull it off the pin as there might be some pressure on it, once it is off the pin you should be able to pull the lock pin out of the 2'' tube and extend the inside tube about 1 1/2 feet to the next hole, repin it then you hook that up to the touch control arm and then you can control the plow depth with the right hand lever of the touch control. Hope this helps. Chuck

I don't know the first thing about Super C's but I would go to caseih.com parts and search for SC fast hitch.

Secondly, I would go to the Tractor Photos or Implement Photos and search there.

Contemporary with the Super C was the 300-400. The depth control on those tractors was a bracket and a hydraulic cylinder. The cylinder was clevised on both ends. Bore and stroke was 2.5" x 8". I may have the bracket. The cylinder may be identical with the Fast Hitch raise and lower cylinder.

If you have the fast hitch you have to have the depth control. It's the brace that holds the front of the hitch.

The rod that hooks to the touch control arm on the right side is actually a "pitch control" (front to rear) for the Fast Hitch, which helps control the depth, because when the plow drops to level, it shouldn't go any farther. The left side controls the "tilt" (side to side) of the Fast Hitch. There should also be a stop adjustment on the cylinder to control the depth. There is also an optional depth "on land" wheel that can be mounted to left side of the plow (we didn't have this wheel on the plow for the Super C). This is how I remember it from over 50 years ago.
