anybody have the IH Red, white and blue paint codes? also anybody have rib tires on their plow? does the trip get enough traction or do you recomend traction implement tires or tire chains? thanks for the help.
 
I have a Little Genius No. 8, 2-14 rope trip plow and I definately recommend a traction tire on the trip side. Also, I don't have the paint codes for the IH red, white, and blue colors but you can buy these colore from www.nnalert.com . That's nnalert Tractor Parts, nnalert. They have good quality paint.
 
You're going to have to be more clever about listing the website. There are filters on this forum that remove certain competitors' websites from posts.
 
You can usually see the banned words by looking at classic view. If you are doing a post in modern view, you get rejected when you preview the post. In this case, Jim R was trying to refer to a company with a two word name the first word is similar to Value and the second is Built. Not only are the company name and web address banned, but the toll free phone number is banned. One can probably find all the references needed using google.

Anyway, I've found that ACE Hardware has rattle cans of IH blue! For a Little Genius plow a couple cans of that should be enough to paint the blue parts.
 
I was trying out some blue paints for a match to an original IH part. My conclusion is that the Ace blue is a little lighter than Harvester blue. It is close enough that if you used only that blue on something, it would look plenty good. You wouldn't want to paint part of something that had other parts in the original blue.

Van Sickle 460 blue seems to be right on.
