fan belt for cub p/n

I don't know where you live,but in our area some auto parts stores have them and all Tractor Supply stores should have it,also the Case/IH dealers will have the number and probaly a cross reference guide. Ed.I am in middle TN.
 
im in Atmore, Al.(n/w corner of Fl.)im at work in southern La. and the local NAPA dealer said he needed a Gates number to order so i could get it prior to returning home. this dealer deals with oil the idustry and not motovated to give customer service. i normally wouldnt deal with this type business, but wanted to get belt prior to returning home in two weeks. thanks, d.coleman
 
On my 140 the gates number that it cross referenced to was correct for length - but not the correct belt. Had to cut a notch into it to get it around the crank pulley due to clearance issues. In short the belt was too fat to squeeze between the crank pulley and steering box.

It makes a clicking noise - but at least I got the rest of the snow moved out of my driveway in feb, need to see about finding a new one though
 
engine is out of tractor on a test stand i built. just want to try to get as much complete prior to reinstalling engine into tractor and not have to waite on ordering items on my off time. might as well let shipping time be while im stuck away from home for two weeks. thanks, d.coleman
