Would anyone know the weight of this tractor? I would like to trailer it a considerable distance, and I'm not sure the trailer we have available will handle the weight. Thank you!!

I have a 1948 Cub with weights on both front and back wheels and it weighs 1725, I dont think there is a lot of difference in these tractors. ED

IH listed the Farmall Cub at 1565 pounds (mid 50's 9 bar grill version) less gas and water and no implements or weights. The earlier mesh grill Cub is listed in the catalog with a weight of 1140 pounds, 1310 pounds with certain options. Once again this is without water or gas. According to IH the fluids add about 65 pounds to the tractor. All are listed as approximate. Weights, fast hitch, mounted implements, etc will require an adjustment.

I inherited my 1952 Farmall Cub from my father. I transported it from the far side of Pennsylvania to the far side of Ohio last year. I have a quad cab pickup with a small V-8 towing a standard 5x10 trailer. It fit with a little wiggle room on the sides but had about six to ten inches at the end (the tractor has a front blade attached). We loaded it on backwards. I used a 4x4 post screwed down to chock the wheels and two heavy duty tie-downs.

I hope this helps.

It depends.

Bare tractor with no weights or implements starts at around 1600lbs.

Add 1 set of rear weights, you're at 1900lbs.
Add fluid in the rear tires, you're at 2200lbs.
Add front weights, you're at 2250lbs.
Add a second set of rears, you're at 2550lbs.
Add a front blade, you're at 2800lbs.
