how to set tappets on international c tractor

I changed head gasket and need to set tappets, but I don't know how on International C tractor. Could someone help me? Thank you.

There are a couple methods, but one that will work good for you is; remove the spark plugs and put your finger into one of the holes, turn the engine in its normal operating direction until you feel pressure against your finger. Set the valves on that cylinder and do the same for the other three. If you don't get a good seal when you put your finger into the spark plug hole, don't sweat it. As soon as you can hear of feel air escaping, your OK to set the valves.

I don't know what the valve clearance is for that tractor so I can"t help you there.
 
Here's an easy way to set your valve lash. Bring No1 piston near the radiator to TDC on the the compression stroke. Both valves should now be closed on that cylinder. Counting from radiator end of the engine adjust valves 1,2, 3 & 5. Set the valves to .017" Cold.

Rotate engine one full turn and then adjust valves 4,6,7 & 8. Hal
