400 Front Tires

Hey guys! Finally got the loader on and working, the power steering on and working and the Schwartz wide front on my 400. I would like to put a wider tire on the front to better carry the weight of the loader. As mentioned I have a schwartz wide front with factory IH hubs/rims. What is the biggest tire I can fit? I currently have 6.00-16"s but am hoping to get at least 7.5-16"s but dont know if they will fit the rims or have clearance issues with the wide front. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Matt. Did you fab up the brackets for the PS pump? I hope you made a "strap braket" to keep the top part of the plate stable.

7.50's will be pinched in pretty hard at the rim unless you can find wider rims. Kinda defeats the purpose and puts a lot of excess stress on the tire.

You could go to a 6-bolt hub and pressed steel wheels a-la Allan in NE.

Yep I got the brackets all made and the pump mounted. Got the seals in the torque generator replaced and got it all mounted up too. Still need to get a couple hoses made and a new belt to get it all working. Definately glad I got the system together because the tractor is a bear to steer with that loader on there! Dual 250 with a HEAVY 92" bucket. Old 400 will lift it with a full bucket of manure though!
