compression rating for 1943 farmall H

Anyone know what compression I should be get from a 152 cu. in. H. I,m getting 125psi from all 4 cylinders give or take a few pounds is that to low for flat top pistons? I,m fouling a few spark plugs. Thanks

Thats a good reading. Go to a hotter plug. Does the engine get used on a pull or are you just driving around

Thanks for the info. Gene I,m using champion D-21 The tractor is used for brush hogging, finish mowing, does not oil smoke exept black smoke when first started. anymore help would be apprecieated

The black smoke is fuel, turn the main jet screw in a half turn and see what happens. Or, at wide open throttle, engine warm, turn it in until the engine stumbles then out until smooth plus about a quarter turn.

Thanks CNKS, I leaned out the carb seems to run alot better.
