300-400 draft control bracket

I didn't know there were two different brackets. If you need one to complete your fast hitch, make sure you get the right one.
They will both bolt up but the hole for the cylinder is 1" different.

I beleive ours had the one on top. Could the bottom one be for some other attachment that needed the extra front clearance or a shorter cylinder? (We had a four row cultivator that used that cylinder plus one on the other side for the front sections, but there was no clearance issue).

Seems more 400 fast hitch photos I see just have the front pinned with no cylinder or bracket.

Let us know when you find out why there are two types.
 

Is it possible that the longer one is for the 400? The 300 and 400 are two different size tractors.
