I'm working on a 53 stage 1 Super H with the belly pump hydraulics. It will not hold the cyclinder postion unless the control rod is held open about an inch from the stop. How do you adjust that? Thanks in advance.

If it is in that position to begin raising the cylinder, it probably has a bypassing cylinder Internal leak past the piston to the opposite side.
If it is truly in the hold position there, it could be assembled incorrectly at the lever to pump connection, or the rod length could be wrong.
They rarely have leaky hold positions. I have never seen one, or heard of it on a Liftall. Jim
