560 Filter Screen

I have a 560 and asked a question about noisy hydraulics a while back. Through looking back through the forums, I suspect I may have an issue with the sucking air. The tractor hydraulics are very noisy when under load and whine just a little all the time. I just put a loader on it today and it is choppy as it goes up. The power steering also isn't the best, but is better at some times than others.

I have read about cleaning the filter screen. When I replaced the filter I didn't see any screen. What does this look like? I pulled the old filer out and put the new one, but it does seem to fit kind of floppy. Should this have some sort of screen on it, and could this be my cause of sucking air? Is this screen available at the dealer?

How is the oil level?add5 gal and see if things dont improove.over filling will not hurt a thing. The screen is in the filter housing. Some 560sdidnt hhave screens, only filters

I would rather not overfill. If I am missing this screen and that causes it to suck air, then overfilling it will cause it to suck oi. While this fixes one problem, now I am not pulling all of the oil through the filter. All I really want to know is what does this screen look like. From what I have gathered, it seems that this screen is part of some filter conversion, but I am not sure. Is that right? It seems to me that in order for the system to work properly and all to use the same filter, all would have to have the screen.

If you have the original style filter for the 560 you will have two donut style filters inside a screen assembly. The later style is an oval paper filter with a rather large hole toward the outside if the tractor.

Later filter number is 388084R93 or 388085R92 if you have the high volume filter cover. The screen/by pass valve assembly is number 386121R92.
