bleeding hyd. on 806D

I changed the hydraulic filter on my dads 806D. I cant get any steering or brakes now. How do I bleed the air out of the system to get everything working again? Also this tractor has a loader on it and I will need to try to get that working also. Everything did work before the filter change Thanks

dont know if it work but a man told me that if it ever happens to jack up the front end off the ground let the tractor idle and take a sledge hammer and beat the tires all the way each way a few times then try turning steering will if dont work repeat may take a couple of trys like i say never done but that what i was told to do if it ever happened to me also heard to overfill by five gallons will help

Sledge hammer may work, but I think I would take a different route. Take the small plug out on the mcv valve right below the oil cooler lines going to the front, or the plug with a 5/8th head on it right below the transmission oil pressure sending unit. Start it up and rev it up a bit, caution, if it primes oil will come shooting out really fast. Be prepared to shut off quick. If that doesn't work, well, that extra 5 gals may well do the trick. I have also squirted oil in that plug and blew it back in some to get it back into the pump. Or drive the nose down into a ditch. Ideally of course this problem should not happen with a good pump and sealed system.

I had problems with my hydraulics. Get a compresor with air close to your machine. Take out the small fill bolt in your hydraulic holding tank, wrap a rag around your air tube, closing off the fill hole and blast air into your holding tank, that will force the fluid in your tank through your lines until the pump can pick it up.

stay with the small plug on the MCV. shut tractor off remove plug it is the small one on the rear or the MCV. MCV is located just below the clutch pedal.get on seat start the tractor wait a little bit you will know shortly if it works shut down as soon as it sprays. it will come fast and hard reinstall plug and you should be good to go.
