Farmall 450 injector pump oil

Have a Farmall 450 diesel/gas, and have two questions.
What oil goes into the injector pump (top Fill)where is the level checked and drained?

Second
Should the wire from the mainifold knife switch go to a resistor and then to distributor in addition to the (-) side of the coil to the distrubitor. A wire diagram would be great.

Thanks for any help

Use the same oil in the pump you use in the engine, fill to the level plug on the side. The wire goes from the knife switch to the resistor, then to the coil.

Thank you for the information
Presently I have a white wire comming from the
(new) harness to the + side of a 12V coil(after market)
The knife switch is also to the + side of the coil and the - side to the distrubitor.

How should the wires be run, and is the original
coul a 6 or 12V (I happen to have the original)

On the MD's they were all 12v from the factory. I [u:7eccb34ccb]would assume[/u:7eccb34ccb] that all newer gas start diesels maintained this technology since going to 6v would have been a step down/back. (And bc most other things are interchangeable on these motors.)
