You should have some "L" brackets bolted on the side of the torque tube on the tractor. These brackets will line up with the slots on the battery box. Look for threaded holes in the side of the torque tube that should line up with the box. It also bolts the the dash.

I had a set made up where I work out of stainless steel. No more worried about them rusting away. I'm not sure OEM will have them, but it's worth a shot.

That's just typical OEM. See if you can bend them down without bending the box, they may not be long enough. Most things that OEM builds need some modification, but they can usually be made to fit if you aren't too picky.

Kent, what you need are (4) angle supports that bolt to the torque tube or clutch housing whatever you desire to call it. The part number of the supports is 350638R1 but probably will be difficult to find through the CaseIH parts network. You can very easily obtain them from a tractor salvage yard from any salvage Farmall C. The supports attach to the tractor with (4) 3/8-16NC X 7/8" cap screws and the supports attach to the battery box with 5/16-24NF X 3/4" hex head cap screws along with a hex nut and 5/16 flat and split lock washers. Hope this helps, Hal.

You are correct--I was thinking about the one on my 53 Super A which I am currently working on -- it has the bolt holes on the sides of the torque tube. My 2 C's are as you have pictured. The OEM box I have for the SA is not perfect, but close enough, again, typical OEM.
