Guys,

I posted this on the Oliver forum, but thought maybe my fellow red iron lovers could also help me, especially our Canadian friends.

There is a '47 Cockshutt 30 coming up on auction near me. It was overhauled and painted by a young man about 8 yrs ago and looks very nice. Always shedded. Has pulley and good fenders, tin is excellent, tires are original (BF Goodrich, "J hook" design) and are cracked but hold air, converted to 12 volt and has 2 ugly chromed headlights.

Big question: What is it worth?

Thanks for your help.

PS I wish Hugh MacKay was still alive...he would know the value to the dollar! I sure do miss him.

Nova Scotia, sorry, should have mentioned that. Also that that's just my opinion - chances are that you'd see it advertised for sale for almost twice as much, just not worth it to me or most. Sam

Sam,
We toured NS in fall of '08. Loved every mile of it. Don't like cities, but Hallifax is very nice. The drive up the coast, then around Breton Island....over to Ft. Louisbourg, then a nice drive thru NB and a stopover at PEI.
Wonderful country.
