Looking for plow parts, not 100% sure what I've got

This is Dad's actually. He bought it a few months ago and the front share was already missing. The others could stand to be replaced.

I think it's a model 412 but I'm not completely sure. We had no luck at two different IH dealers in a search for parts. The website has it listed but doesn't have shares or landsides in the parts list.

Anyone know where they can be found? They are the one piece type combining share and point.

Try Crescent Tool mfg, they will sell to an individual with a little coaxing for about a third of the price

Unless Crescent FORGE is back in business, they are out of business, and have been for about two years.

You are out of luck on finding new parts for that plow. Parts for those bottoms are no longer made by anyone.

Your best bet is to find a newer plow with the modern Super Chief bottoms on it, and either use that plow or transfer the bottoms to this plow.

Years ago I had a 412 4x16"s. Mine had a rubber tail wheel and a gauge wheel it also had a hydraulic cylinder for the tail wheel.

not quite sure WHAT that is.. I am sure that it isn't a 412... Not unless someone really butchered it up...

Here is a thoroughly worn out 412....

I'm not sure what you have either, but it looks like it has trip bottoms and was made later than a 412. If it is IH, and has shins, any 4 bolt Super Chief IH share will fit, like ones on a 60, 70, 540, 550, etc. and you can get them at you IH dealer. Those pointy moldboards sure don't look like IH, but may have been changed to aftermarket in an earlier life.

Thanks for all the replies!

I found the Crescent Forge website and will contact them so we can find something that will work.

It may very well be a 411. It's most definately IH as you can still read it in the faded paint. We found one other picture of one with a steel tail wheel but most seem to have the rubber tail wheel and hydraulics like sd pete.

It's a shame the coulters are missing though. Most of the old moldboard plows I see around here have had them removed.

The channel part of the frame is the same as what you've got. Looks like yours pivots in some way where the fast hitch attaches to the rest of the frame. Wish ours still had the coulters.

I like the can of PB you have there! That's a common sight around my place.

IH used 2 C channels welded together as a backbone for a lot of plow models. The 412 is semi mounted.. your plow would be considered fully mounted. It seems to me that someone has really butchered and re-engineered the frame of your plow. I have a 311 and it doesn't look anything like that setup.

We've had that 412 since the day it came home from the IH dealership in early 63... I pulled it out of the fence row last year as I also have the 560D that came home from the IH dealership the same day... They go well together.

I agree this one would be fully mounted.
It's difficult to tell from the photos I put up, but there's no extra or abnormal looking welds. Also what's left of the paint seems to be the same single faded coat.

Could a 411 be offered both as mounted and semi-mounted? I don't know why they might do that.

I have about a dozen new moldboards. The IH part numbers are written on each with a paint marker pen. If you can come up with a part number, I will check my inventory.
