I have a 49 C and it has a clunk in what seems too be the bell housing or somewhere under my feet. The clutch is real noisy when I let it out and it begin's to grab.Any ideas? And my wheels are tight so it's not that.Even if I just roll it,it does the same noise. Thanks

The drive coupling at the front of the tranny is one p-lace to look for worn components (possibly through the linkage hole)
The other is a self destructing oil slinger in the trans. The top cover needs to come off for that. Jim

jim is right about the coupler,,,i had the same noise as you are experinceing when i first had my bn . i can not say exactly what mine was, but when i split the tractor and replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throw -out,,and put new bolts to the coupler. the noise was gone when it was reasembled and test run.
