Nothing says spring like getting the old tractors out and running. My two McCormick-Deering 10-20s had not been started since September 2009.
Started with the 1925. Put in 2 gallons of new gas, oiled the valve train, set the mag and primed it with fuel. It fired and ran on the 2nd pull. Let it idle and went to the 1927. Followed the same procedure and it fired and ran on the 2nd pull as well!
My dad and I took them out for about a 2 mile drive. The oil pressure was high until the oil warmed up but they both ran great. After the exercise, they got parked in the new garage.
