I disassembled my cub carb and seen that I had broke the small tube between the upper and lower halfs of the carb. Looks like it pulled into. Question is, does anyone know if this is just a guide pin or what??? I can send picture.

It's the idle tube and it's necessary. They frequently get broken and are usually easily replaced.

The tube is threaded into the top half. You can get the part out using a small phillips screwdriver as a crude easy-out.

Thanks for the quick response and help. Well yes I know when I did it. The halves were hard to seperate, so I figured I'd twist it a bit..that did it. Do you know if that part (tube) is available?

might be cheaper in long run to purchas a complete carb kit with the idle jet included. i had one in the kit i got but chose not to attempt to remove old one for fear of stripping the threads in body of carb. dont know what i did with the jet, sorry, id have mailed it to you. good luck, d. coleman
