660 fuel filters cannisters

Looking at a 660 diesel that has the fuel filters changed over to the square john deere single filter, are the cannisters off a 560 row crop or wheatland the same thing, also the man selling the tractor says if it idles much it slobbers out the exhaust pipe, is it just getting too much fuel or is that the nature of the beast, thanks joe

Why are you chengeing the filter? The JD filter is perfectly adequet, and a lot easier to change.Does it have to be 'CORRECT' ? is this a working tractor or a showqueen?

The slobering could be overfuel, weak dirty injectors not atomizing fuel,or simply not reaching full operating temp.

DeltaRed it does not matter if it is a show tractor or a working tractor, I like the tractor to be correct in that way, what it wrong with that? besides you don't change filters that often.
