super C fast hitch

Nope it is late 53 for sure, if you look in the brochures of the day it does not show them to latter years. Also one of Guys Fays books says that it came out in 53 as well. Im pretty sure its his 'Guide Book To the Letter Series'

My '51 SC was retrofitted with a Fast-Hitch when it came out in '53.
Many tractors were "updated" in this manner, many are still being retrofitted even today.
 

Saw my first fast-hitches the fall of '53! They were on Super C's at the Eastern States Exposition in Springfield, MA. The IH folks had a demonstration going on with 4 tractors & 4 fast-hitch implements doing a square dance to show how fast & easy it was to hitch and unhitch! I was 14 years old at that time, and really quite impressed! The IH folks even let me drive a Super H in the machinery parade! I can't even imagine that being allowed in today's world!
 
Think my Super C was built in april of 53 and it"s got the fast hitch. I"ve got an IH manual from ebay around here that has a couple kit part numbers and the instructions to install the hitches on older tractors.
 
I just looked through my fast hitch implement parts book and the earliest date for FH machinery was
1953
 
thanks for the info. our tractor serial # is a 1951 . i figured the fast hitch had been added later. it is missing the correct left hand touch control lift arm. know where to find one?
