IH Cultivator

Looking to find out the model of this IH cultivator. It has the IHC casted in spots but no tag to know the model #. I posted this on the implement forum but got no replys.
Thanks

I also think it was (originally) a grain drill. The chains hanging from the rear lift towers each are fitted with a 3" ring! Those chains were used as soil mixers dragging behind the drill. I remember bunching them up into groups of 6 or so and wiring them to a small square bar in the back to keep them up while on the road. Jim

Looks a lot like a #3, built from about '26 through '34. Not sure it looks exactly right. Rubber tires would be unusual for something that old, unless it has been converted.

Ryan, can you post more pics from differing angles?Does any
one have pics of an old IH grain drill to post for comparison? Thanks,Steve

I see spokes in the wheels....steel cut down? The power lift and some other parts look a little different than a drill....

I am another one unsure of what it is - what was the purpose of the gear drive coming from the wheel?

As to the spokes in the wheel - many of the implements around here that have spoked wheels date to the 1930s or earlier. We had an implement that in the 1890s to 1910s was a one row tobacco planter pulled by oxen.... we used it with horses, a cub tractor,(when the tank rusted out) then became a corn and veg planter (till that part siezed up) - then a potato planter, then a wagon.. am now considering finding another one for parts and putting it back to work the wheels and axles are still in great shape.
