Super A Gauge Question

Mine has a gauge that is unreadable at the lever controls. It plumbs into the hydraulic filter, Is it a Temp gauge, Or a pressure gauge? Also, Where can I find the LH dust cover for the final drive? The manual shows it to be the same as the right, But it has to be deeper to allow for the lug that your spanner wrench hooks on to. One last thing. Does anyone sell gaskets for the PTO, Rear end and final drive? Thanks.

It is a hydro. temp gauge. I bought my final drive covers of ebay. Case-ih has or can get all the mentioned gaskets.
 
Do you need the cover with the seal to pass over the stub driveshaft for the planter drive?
 
Bob, Please excuse my ignorance on this,Im new to Farmall rebuilding. But the stub that you're referring to, Is for a planter device and not a spanner wrench? That would explain why the RS has a cover and not the left.
 
IMHO, that's what you have. The partsbook shows the different cover for that side, complete with seal.

I would think you could toss the stub shaft and put a castle nut on, like the other side, then use the same cover.
 
I think that's what I'll do. Let me ask you this (stupid question BTW), The bearing thats behind that stub, Is the outter part of the bearing, Or the race supposed to turn with the shaft? It appears I'm missing the spacer and washer that are shown on the left side (according to the IH-8 manual, Pg.67). Do you think these missing parts secure that bearing race somehow? Thanks for taking time and walking me through this. I really appreaciate it.
