weights for a 300 to 450

Hi do the side wts fit all of the tractors or are they different for each series, also what do they usually cost for a set, thanks Joe

I think you mean frame weights.

They fit SMTA, later SH, 300-350, 400-450, and maybe 330. I think they also fit 300-350 Utilities but no atandard tread tractors like Wheatlands or Industrials.

They will probably fit Buick Roadmasters if you need additional punching power in heavy traffic.

The mounting holes (2 each per weight) are not drilled and tapped in the Wheatland bolster.

I suppose you could make them fit if you are willing to do the machine work. Sorry, but I am just not inclined to remove one from my SMTA to try to fit it to my W-400.

But this brings up an interesting question. What was offered for the 400-450? Must be in the parts book but I don't have one for my W-400.

As for cost, I think a minimum would be $200 per set. Would not be surprised if you had to pay double that.

You might want to consider something like this. This won't be cheap either. This is a W-400 being set up for suitcase weights.

That hole in the frame rail is where one of the frame weight bolts should pass through to the bolster. The bolster is not drilled. Apparently IH used the same frame rail on both the F-400 and W-400.

mine cost 1.5 pound a few years ago from a dealer that has high prices . I have since gone to hangons
