The neighbor's kid was working in the woods and somehow broke the power steering line coming out of the pump cover. His 560, not mine!! He continued using the tractor despite the oil loss. Now with the PS hydraulic line repaired and the oil replaced, the power steering works fine, however there is no hydraulic pressure. Understanding how the two pumps are piggybacked, something must be turning in the hydraulic pump or whatever is left of it. This is all heresay as I don't have the tractor here. I could rig up a test block and pressure gauge at the pressure side outlet of the pump cover although that takes more time that would be spent removing the pump itself. My thought is that the
pump is bad, perhaps a sheared key on a pump gear. Maybe a stuck open regulator valve is bypassing oil, but I doubt it. Your thoughts are appreciated.
