Farmall Regular Paint Color

I have a 1927 Farmall Regular. The only paint color I can find anywhere is red. Could it be possible they painted some of these Regulars red instead gray. Just looking for some help to get the correct color. Thanks.

Your Regular came from the factory in gray. We painted ours with paint from the NAPA store. I think the brand was Martin Senior, and the color code is 8711-55A. It is a dark charcoal gray.

It is possable but not probable. The original gray is so close to the color of bare iron that unless you know what you are looking at most guys can't see it. Buy you a gallon of Rustoleum gloss black and add just a little white to it. Maybe a half to a cup full. It comes out a nice dark gray.

It is not original, but I painted mine Glossy Black. I think anything you put on it to keep it from rusting away is good! I saw a pink Farmall H at the Iowa state fair last year. It was an FFA project of a girl whose mother had breast cancer. I loved it too.

Mike, I Have mixed my own like Howard said, But I think Rice Equipment sells farmall gray.
I will have to check out that NAPA # didn't know that one. Oldiron29

I painted my 1931 Reg. with Dupont paint. The gray no. was 27625, and the red was 7410. It came out really nice and still looks good after about 10 years. Look at Duponts color charts and see what you think.

Doesn't that get a little tough if you have to do touch up or mix more than one batch for the same tractor?
