Farmall A exhaust

I have a 1939 A and I bought a new manifold because the old one was broken off at the top. The outlet on the new one is threaded (I didn't know that) and it looks like it takes a piece of 2" black iron pipe for an exhaust. My question is, does a correct replacement muffler slide over the top of the 2" pipe and then you clamp it? Or what?

I THINK THE PIPE YOUR REFERING TO IS PROBABLY 1-1/2" NOT 2" AND YES, I'M SURE THE MUFFLER WILL SLIDE OVER IT AND THEN CLAMP IT. I ALSO THINK YOU CAN USE A STANDARD PIPE NIPPLE TO DO THIS.

It is standard black pipe. Caseih doesnt say what the length is but it is threaded on one end and sqaure on the other. youre old one is rusted in like alot of the others out there.

The muffler would slide over the pipe. I bought one through Steiner tractor parts online. They cost $11.00. The muffler I have slides over the pipe but I don't clamp it. It seems to stay on just fine.

You can get a piece at a local hardware store for much less I give 1.50 for mine !!!
