H Aftermarket 3pt.

I have a aftermarket 3 pt on my H that I purchased about 2 years ago, my problem is the lift travel distance is not long enough. The lift arms are almost on the ground when it is all the way down, the adjustable arms are adjsuted all the way in, what would be the standard hydrolic cylinder length? I am thinking about getting a longer cylinder, the 3 pt does appear to be factory made. Thanks for any advise, love working with this old tractor.

Most ag cylinders are 8 inch stroke. You might go to 10 inch stroke (if you now have 8 inch), but what ever you do, make sure the lift will move through that much stroke without the cylinder yokes binding.

Ok, some more info my adjustable links are 16" and adjusted all the way in. Any suggestions on a source for shorter links?

Are you sure that you can t move the whole hitch, frame and all up? Just a thought.

I don't think there is a way to move the whole assembly but I will look it over and see, If I had shorter adjustable Links I think it would fix my problem. I measured the cylinder and I believe it has a 10".

Ok, my adjsutable link on the Right side has some adjustment left but the one on the left does not. If you can not tell the arms have not been lowered all the way, when all the way down they almost touch the ground. I have attached a picture for any suggestions
