The real dollar Super M is a very late one 1954?So any Super M before that are all worth about the same?? Looking to buy one that will be worth the time and effort to restore..Any input would be great....

from what i see, the smta"s bring good money, the diesel super m"s and t/a diesel m"s bring more. seems like the high crop super m ta diesels are the most rare and bring the most money.

Glennster,I should clear that up I was talking straight gas tractors no TA's or wide fronts..thanks

Plow Hand, the 1954's were SMTA but you could order one without the TA and without the live PTO. They were virtually identical to the 400 with the M style tinwork.

The 1952's and 1953's were SM. 1951 back to 1939 were M but lots of smaller things changed over the years.

The SM gas & diesels were made till Feb 1, 1954. The last SMDCH was built on June 8, 1954. The '54 model year started with serial #512541.

So yes, the '54 SMs do bring a little more money than the other model years

A stage II (53ish) with the live hydraulics are worth alittle more then a Stage I (52ish) with just the belly pump.

agree with what Andrew Z said. The ones with live hydraulics bring more than an early SM without. mike
