Embarrassing TA question

I was checkin' out a 5088 the other day. I was sitting in it looking around and noticed there was no TA lever on the left side of the dash, like an 86 series. I went to Tractor house and looked at interior pictures of other 88's and they didn't have a lever there either. Question 1) Do the 88's even have TAs? And 2) If they do, where is it. I am embarrassed. Thanks

No T.A. Shuttle shift

The 3X88 tractors have a TA. They are basically the same as the 86 series, with a different hood.

The 5X88 tractors have a new style of transmission. It's a 3-range, 6-speed fully synchronized so you can shift on the fly.

You can also powershift between 1-2, or 3-4, or 5-6 on the speed transmission. To go from 2 to 3, or 4 to 5, press the clutch.

There is no TA on the 5X88 series.
