HELLO I AM NEW TO THIS SITE AND AM LOOKING FOR SOME HELP.A RETIRED FREIND OF MINE RECENTLY PURCHASED A 1950 FARMALL H AND I BOUGHT HIM A FREEMAN LOADER LAST SAT AT AN AUCTION.THE LOADER MOUNTED VERY EASILY BUT MY PROBLEMS BEGAN WITH THE HYDRUALICS.I HAVE DONE MUCH RESEARCH ON THE PAST FORUMS ON THIS SITE AND UNDERSTAND THE FARMALL LIFT ALL BELLY PUMP SYSTEM WICH IS NOT LIVE HYD.THE TRACTOR HAS A AUX HYD VALVE DESIGNED FOR TWO WAY OPERATION.RIHT KNOW I HAVE DICONECTED THE AUX VALVE AND HOOKED UP THE LIFT CYL TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT PORTS ON THE MAIN FRAME OF THE TRACTOR AND THE LIFT WORKS AS INTENDED.MY PROBLEM IS THE LOADER NAS BEEN CONVERTED FROM A TRIP RELEASE TO A TWO WAY CYL ON THE BUCKET.THIS IS WHERE I HAVE QUESTIONS.FIRST IF I USE THE AUX VALVE TO OPERATE THE BUCKET AND ADD A VALVE TO LIFT THE LOADER WILL IT HURT TO HAVE THE LIFT ALL LEVER ENGAED ALL THE TIME TO FEED BOTH VALVES AND WHERE WOULD I RUN THE RETURN FROM THE ADDED VALVE. IF ANYONE HAS A BETTER SOLUTION OR REMEDY ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THANKS BOB

pick up a twin spool valve, and one with a float option is even nicer. take one hydraulic line from either front port of the belly pump, run it to the "in" on the spool valve. the "out" or retun line can be run either to the fill pipe or, i prefer a pipe tee on the bely pump drain plug, and use a pipe plug in the tee to allow for a drain plug. leaving the belly pump in the full on position will not hurt the pump.

Glennster has a good idea but I would go with a 3 spool (1 float and 2 common 2-way spools)valve. This way if you want to use a third cylinder for what ever function you will not have to unhook a loader function. Makes life a whole lot easier for not that much more money. I have 2 3-spool valves on one of my M's and sometimes have them all hook to cylinders. Armand
