farmall h 12v conversion

I am gathering the equipment to convert from 6 to 12 volts. I have a 10-SI 63amp alternator. I have been told there is no way to get this under a stock hood. Agri-services in New York has an undersized alternator and bracket available for $140. How"s it done without spending the extra cash? I"m handy with metal working tools, if someone has an example of a bracket to make. Thanks.

I use an alternator made to fit say a 1980 Chev pick up power nothing and they can be made to fit just fine. You flip the genny bracket and use a short belt and you can make it fit with out doing any thing to the hood.

The 10SI should fit under the hood, but a mini alternator will fit much easier and give you more adjustment.
