factory wide front

does anyone have pictures of how the stablizers on a factory widefront on an M mount to the frame or where ever they go? Thanks alot.

They bolt to the bottom of the side rails.

The little wedges go under the bolt head up inside the frame rail with the wide part inboard.

years ago i bought a IH wide front for my M but did not get the wedges Allan speaks of. I made some brackets to bolt to my frame and bent the rods outboard enough to bolt them to. Not "pure" and not for the "purists" but on a unrestored working tractor.

so I have to drill holes in the frame rail for each position of the front end? Is there a diff. in width of the H and M wide front, and it looks as if I have to bend the rods outward to reach the frame, is that right or wrong?

not answering for allan but.....drilling holes in my frame rails was just not very inviting to me. So I took a torch and a welder and within minutes I was bolting my ugly little brackets on. They have held well for 6 years now.

I would do that, but Im looking for the more natural, from the factory look. If that makes any sents. So if I have to drill the frame, I guess I will have to bite the bullet.

where are you located? I may end up with a extra set of frame rails from a wide front. shoot me a email if interested in them. I have a M with a wde front and I am putting my front end on another m that had a wide front, but I am changing side rails and all, looks easier then just the front end. So I will have a extra set of rails....Jim
