Super C Governor Bearing

I installed the new governor beaaring in the block of the super c and when i test-fit the governor it did not go in. Is there something I can do to the bearing to make the governor fit? It would not take much for it to fit.Just wanting imput from someone that might have encountered this problem.

I put the shaft through both bearings before pressing them into the case. I used a piece of pipe and a union as a hollow press.

You will have to hone the hole either by sanding or using a hone . You always have to remove material to get the fit desired.

Thanks Gene, thats what I thought I might need to do. also, since I got you, can you tell me the specifics on renewing the governor control arm with the bushing. I spoke with you at midwest old threshers a few years ago about it and cant quite remember how you said to do it. Thanks again Gene!

I have a 5/8 end mill cutter that has been sharpened so its a little undersized that i use to rebore the hole then install a 5/8x1/2 brass bushing this gives a new hole for that lever makes the throttle response like new again. I find the bushings at LOWES and its just a tad longer than needed so i file the outside end down after inssalling and with the rest of the parts replaced if needed will operate like new again.
