Excellent work!! I hope you'll find a parade to show off that beauty!

What paint and finish did you use?

Looks like a job well done, I am working on a super c myself, Hope mine turns out as good as yours ! Is your grille an original or a reproduction ? Just wondering as I will be needing one. If it is repro it looks good.

Where did you come up with the Nason color?

That's what we use...I'm not sure of the code but I think the guy I work with had IH 2150 scanned a few years back.

Sweet! No doubt a lot of time (and probably cash too) went into it. Very nicely done and something to be proud about.

The grill is original this was a very low hour tractor and I am the second owner. The previous owner bought it new in 1952 and cultivated 7 acres of tobacco with it every year until 2001.

Actually got the number on this website on left side of page under paint codes and it is a match to IH 2150

Nice tractor, 7410 is the cross for IH 50, not 2150. Which is ok, since 2150 did not show up until 1961. Actually the "correct" code is IH 1102B, I have not been able to find that one.

All I can say is real dang close to 2150 on color chips !! Close enough for me !! I have painted a cub farmall and this super c with it and both turned out pretty good I am by no means an expert but mange to get the job done.

Thanks Dustin

I dare say, it undoubtedly looks better than when new.

Now, what are you going to do with it?

Looks GREAT! The paint looks "wet". The Dupont paint looks great on there. I may use it instead of IH paint when I paint my 504.

Great looking job, now I have one you can work on. Oh thats right I need to plow with it if it ever get dry again
Thanks for sharing

That looks so good it shocks a person! I hope to have my H that nice someday.

I was going to paint my manifold silver, but that black looks darn good too!

You wouldn't be in the California area looking for some pro bono work, would you? :D

But seriously, very nicely done!

Very nice indeed
I like three types of paint jobs
The beautiful long lasting protection yours has
The factory type job that is kinda flat and paints the hoses and all,
and the original paint.
Yours is cherry. Jim

Ah, a refurbished tobacco tractor, nice job. You have a right to crow about it. Nice building to work in also, it appears. Sometime ya gotta get a little tobacco juice on it to christen it!

Words aren't appropriate for the beauty of your completed Super C. I'm in the process right now of doing mine waiting for warmer weather for painting. Someone else will be painting it but we have all the mechanical issues, seals and gaskets taken care off and should have it painted in the next couple of months and back in the hay field on the side delivery rake.
What muffler do you have as it is certainly not a farm store Stanley for sure? Is that one from Mark's Tractors in Illinois, one of those correct sound which looks original of did you luck out and find a true NOS original?
Your tractor is a DeVinci or Rembrandt for a Farmall, enjoy all the effort you put into your work and take the wife somewhere for letting you have all the shop time it took, Hal.

farmallhal. bad as I hate to admit it is a muffler from OEM tractor parts !!
It does have a good sound to and very quiet.I appreciate everybodys positive comments on my tractor it was 4 very long months of work in the evenings and weekends but it all pays off in the end.

Great attention to detail! Neat, neat job. You aren't gonna actually run it are you? Did you say you're loaning it to the Smithsonian? Jim

Jim I actually restored this tractor for my father so he could go to shows and drive in parades with me . He was raised farming with horses and mules till 1952 then his father purchased a super c so that is my reasoning on restoring this old gal.

Thanks Dustin

Looks very nice, beautiful in fact...go ahead and paint the radiator cap and strip the paint off the rear axles and clearcoat them for the original authenticity....or leave it just like it is if that's the way you want it.

You need to read your letter series book by Guy Fay this is a 1952 axles supposed to be red!! lol But radiator cap is getting painted along with oem style coil this weekend.

Thanks Dustin
