farmall M wide front on a 340?

Will the wide front on a farmall M fit a Farmall 340? kinda looking at a 340 but it has a narrow front, I have a dead M with a wide front,will they interchange? Thanks

If you have a torch and a welder, yes, it will fit. Otherwise, no.
 
I may be wrong but I think a wide front from a Super C 200 series might be a better fit for a Farmal 340 row crop. If you can't find a 340 wide front. The H's and M's had a much different front end mount than a 340.
 
Thanks guys, I think I will pass on the 340 then,I dont want another narrow front and definately not one with a loader.I already have a H narrow front that has the loader from my M on it. Guess i will have to fix the M.
 
torch and welder time!examples:SuperC wf on F-12,WD9 wf on M;M wf on JD A (X 2);1270 Case wf on JD 4020;misc.truck front axles on misc. older tractors;the possibilities are endless...............
 
What caused the M to die? One reason to fix the M since it already has the wide front is when done you will know the condition of what was repaired. Buying another tractor you have no idea of existing or possible problems. I would fix the M. Armand
