Transmission countershaft nut

I am trying to remove the transmission countershaft nut on a 1947M so I can replace the seal. This nut also serves as the drive for the hydraulic pump. I would like to know if the threads are CW or CCW, I have gently tried both directions with no results.

Thanks,
Dave

It is a right hand thread so it comes off counter clockwise. Put it in high, lock the brakes and get a pipe wrench, or a bar in the slot and have at it . If that doesn't work I pull shift lever and lock it in two gears.

I have a Craftsman pry bar that is 1/2 x 1/2 that fits in the slot. Engage the PTO leaving the transmission in neutral. Turn the PTO to unscrew the nut.
