Super C gear box oil and how much

Would Valvoline 80W85 gear oil work in a Super C gear box or do I need something different.

Lastly, how much do I need.

Anything right around 90 wt gear oil will be fine. Capacity is right about 5 gallons.

As Scotty says, it'll work fine... One question, how good are your seals? If you are having leaking problems I would go with the heavier gear lube. I'm not sure the numbers 140w150 or something like that. I had a C that even the heavier stuff oozed out.

Just filled my super c last night held exactly a 5 gallon bucket and was about a 1/16" under full level plug.
