International 444 parts question

One of my friends owns a 444 and the other day while trying to start tractor the cast housing on the starter cracked all the way around .The starter still runs fine but the question I have is there a parts distributor that sells just the nose or do you just have to bite the bullet and buy a whole new starter??

Hi Dustin, you didn't say if it was Diesel or gas but since you are in USA it will be a Delco Remy starter and CIH parts book lists individual parts for the starter. Probably try a starter/generator repair shop as Delco Remy is a common starter used on many motors.

It is a gas burner and it is a delco remy went to one of my parts buddies this weekend had about 200 starters not one match!!!

I did a quick scan of the delco book and only found one other starter that uses the same drive end frame. The Delco number for the starter is 1108323. The housing number is 1968324. The starter crosses to a wilson number STT7311.
