I would like it to be under 9000 hours (preferably a 686 but a 666 is just as good), diesel, with a ta and running good with no blow by. My price rang stops around 8 thousand bucks. I found a 686 with the American diesel and good tires for 8 grand, but he sold it the day i went to the bank. I'd like to have the canopy but its not essential. Thanks for the help Here’s the ad of the one that got away. I'd like to find one about this shape, field ready. It will be used heavy for farming.

I will see what i can come up with and make some calls . Since your in Pa. you may want to check out the auction in Chambersburg or take a Drive on over this way on the 26th of this month to Tri Greens at the intersection of I70 and US 42 at London Ohio As the tractor sale is on Wednesday As you may find something there and there if it is under the ride and drive you can check it out and if there is something major worng with it you do not have to buy it . Plus you can check them out BEFORE the sale starts . I have knowen the Greens for many years and have nothing but good to say about them. But i will make some calls for ya .

Just got off the phone with my old friend that he and i use to run the slaes together and he told me that we missed out on one that sold last Saturday bit it was 600 over what you wanted to pay. . They are also honest people to deal with . Mikey has a sale the second Sat. of each month not far from me as he bought out his uncle and is now running the sale.

This is probably a bit too distant for you, but I know about an auction on April 24 in the West Bend, Wisconsin area with a very well kept IH 686 with German diesel and cab. I understand there will also be an IH 986, 674, Case-IH 7210, among others, at this auction.

Its going to be hard to find one with out blow by .I bought a brand new one in 1977 and it had blow by pretty bad so i complained and they told me that was normall so i let it go. Well i dont have that tractor anymore but i know where it is and it has about 7500 hours on it now and the engine has never been touched. So i wouldnt worry about a bit of blow by. That was a 312 american engine. Erik..
