Won't run without closing choke about 3/4, then fine. Rebuilt about 15 years ago. Played with air adjustment screw today at idle from 2 turns open to completely closed, no change. Plan to get new carb kit next time I am in the city but, it sometimes runs fine with choke wide open.
I planned to ask on CUB board, but again had problems accessing. Is it just me or is it difficult over there?
Glad spring is near, happy DST to everone.
Thanks,
JD

farmallcub<dot>com has been working OK for me.

Your problem sounds like a plugged main jet. The brass hex head on the side of the carb is the jet. Unscrew it and make sure the hole in the end and the one across are both clear. Use a soft wire to clean it out. Be careful to not enlarge the hole in the end.

Jim Becker is exactly right !! Unscrew that brass nut on the side of your carb and take out the long brass stem, and as he said clean it carefully, especially the one on the end of the tube...use an acetylene torch wire cleaner or a SMALL needle, being careful to not break off the wire/needle and to not enlarge the hole ..put it back in and she will run just fine !

I wouldn't even use the torch cleaner. Use something softer, like a phone wire.

If you are talking about farmallcub dot com AND you have AOL...yes, you could have problems. Regardless of who you use try this. Log onto your ISP. Minimize. Open Internet Explorer. Type farmallcub dot com and hit enter. See if that helps.
