IH 37 baler

I have a IH 37 baler that I have all redone the knotters on. I have a manual but I can"t find what sissal number of twine to use. Any help would be appreciated. Will the newer style polyproplyene string work. thanks in advance for your help.
 
The poly twine doesnt work real good on my IH 46 baler. I run the 9000' sisal on mine. The poly stuff could be run but takes a lot of shims and a lot of adjustments to get it to cut the twine. Best to run sisal on the older balers.

Only kind that works decent in mine is 9000 sisal. My neighbor borrowed it and put in 7200 sisal and it would miss about every 3rd bale. Put 9000 back in and I baled over 1,000 bales and didn't miss one. Poly doesn't work at all.
 
Do you have the all twine knotter, if so the plastics should work good . Older knotter may well require adjustments, however I did see one 37 that worked great with no adjustments.
 
Baled with a 47 (same knotters) for over 35 years. Sometimes 5000 -7000 bales per year. 9000 sisal is the only thing that works.
